When trading a battery on multiple electricity markets, bidding decisions must be made several times every day.
Our OptiBid® multimarket bidding optimizer uses our market price forecasts to determine a bidding plan that maximizes revenue. Battery state of charge estimation is integrated into the optimizer to ensure that any trading decisions will result in a suitable state of charge several hours later, so that the battery can exploit the market opportunities also at that time. The multi-objective optimizer considers grid coupling limits, grid fees and taxes, battery storage roundtrip efficiency, and ageing costs.
We are currently live in optimizing FFR, FCR-N, FCR-D, aFRR Capacity, aFRR Energy, and Nord Pool day-ahead (Elspot) markets in Finland. Our optimizer is well suited for batteries and co-located assets such as solar, wind, and electric vehicles.
